Julie Holland, MHS, CEDS, is Vice-President, Business Development, Eating Disorders Programs for CRC Health Group. She is based in Raleigh, NC and is responsible for development and implementation of all intake, marketing and outreach efforts for CRC Eating Disorders Programs nationwide. Julie has specialized in the treatment of self-esteem, eating and body image issues for adults and adolescents for over 23 years. She maintained private practices in the U.S. and in Bermuda providing consultation and training to professionals and consumers. She is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and an Approved Supervisor for the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp™). She received her Masters degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Counseling from Georgia Southern University and her BA in Psychology from Armstrong State College. Ms. Holland has received extensive training in the field of eating disorders, body image and women’s wellness and healthcare. She is the Director of Certification for the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp™), the only international certifying body for professionals treating eating disorders; and holds memberships in several women’s healthcare and eating disorder organizations. Previously, Julie was the Executive Director, International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. She was the Director, Professional Relations and Education at The Renfrew Centers of Philadelphia, PA and Ft. Lauderdale, FL for 11 years. Prior to that, Ms. Holland was the Director of the Eating Disorders Program at The Clark Center, Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA for 11 years where she was instrumental in program development. Julie is a well-known international speaker and the author of several audiotapes. She is frequently quoted in popular media including Mademoiselle, Glamour, and Shape Fit Pregnancy. In addition, she has appeared on numerous television programs including, Prime Time Live and The Keith Ablow Show.
Dianne Neumark-Sztainer, Ph.D., M.P.H., R.D., is a Professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health, School of Public Health and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, both at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Neumark-Sztainer’s research interests focus mainly on adolescent nutrition and the prevention of weight-related disorders including eating disorders, unhealthy weight control behaviors, and obesity. Her work aims to help young people feel good about themselves and their bodies, and adopt healthy eating and physical activity behaviors as self-nurturing behaviors. She is interested in exploring the potential for integrating eating disorder and obesity prevention through intervention, epidemiological, and qualitative studies. She has been Principal Investigator on a number of projects aimed at preventing risk factors for eating disorders and obesity in youth including The Weigh to Eat, Free to be Me, New Moves, Very Important Kids, and Ready, Set, Action. Dr. Neumark-Sztainer is the Principal Investigator of Project EAT (Eating Among Teens), a cross-sectional and longitudinal study of eating patterns and weight-related concerns in a large sample of adolescents. She has examined disordered eating among youth with chronic illness as part of the AHEAD study (Assessing Health and Eating among Adolescents with Diabetes). She has also examined issues of weight stigmatization among overweight teens. Dr. Neumark-Sztainer has written several book chapters and has published over 200 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She has presented her work at numerous scientific national and international conferences. She has recently published a book for parents of adolescents that provides a synthesis of her research and guidelines for helping their children have healthy bodies and body images. Her book is
entitled: “I’m, like, SO, fat!” Helping your teen make healthy choices about eating and exercise in a weight-obsessed world. Dr. Neumark-Sztainer is involved in outreach work aimed at the prevention of eating disorders via community presentations, media interviews and different consultations. Dr. Neumark-Sztainer previously was a member of the Board of the Academy for Eating Disorders and is currently a member of the Nominating Committee. She serves on the Clinical and Scientific Advisory Council and on the Research Committee of the National Eating Disorders Association. She received the Lori Irving Award for Excellence in Eating Disorder Prevention and Awareness from the National Eating Disorders Association.
Darryl Roberts, President of Sensory Overload Entertainment, is an established writer, producer, and director. He is celebrated both in the U.S. and internationally for How U Like Me Now, the highly acclaimed independent film about relationships in the 90's. Mr. Roberts has also amassed experience in the radio and television industry. He began his career as an on-air personality for radio station WKKC-FM in Chicago. He used his earnings as a salesman at Seagram's wine division to produce his own local cable television program entitled Backstage with Darryl Roberts. Roberts joined WMAQ-TV's Sunday morning news program as host of Hollywood Hype, an insider's look at the entertainment industry. His segment rapidly gained a strong following and was rated among the top entertainment features in Chicago. Mr. Roberts has directed some of Europe's hottest commercials and music videos. Most notable of the bunch was the music video for Gloria Gaynor's European comeback, entitled I Never Knew.

Jenni Schaefer is a singer/songwriter, speaker, and author of Life Without Ed: How One Woman Declared Independence from Her Eating Disorder and How You Can Too (McGraw-Hill). Residing in Nashville, Tennessee, Jenni writes regularly for national publications and is a contributing author to books in the Chicken Soup series. A consultant with Center For Change and a Board Member with the Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee, she is a regular guest on national radio and television, including appearances on Dr. Phil and Entertainment Tonight. Jenni was recently appointed to the Ambassador Council of the National Eating Disorders Association.
